Zion among trio to star in remake of iconic 'Be Like Mike' commercial
What's old is new again.
Gatorade announced that New Orleans Pelicans phenom Zion Williamson, two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics will star in a remake of Michael Jordan's iconic "Be Like Mike" commercial, according to Forbes' Adam Zagoria.
The new ad will air Sunday on social and digital platforms ahead of episode five and six of "The Last Dance," according to Zagoria.
Gatorade hopes the throwback commercial "inspires new generations of athletes to be like Mike … then, now and forever," the company said in a promotional email obtained by Zagoria.
The sports-themed food and beverage company has been teasing the release on social media with a series of GIFS from the original "Be Like Mike" commercial.
