The front-office shuffle continues under New York Knicks president of basketball operations Leon Rose.
The club is finalizing a deal to hire Utah Jazz vice president of player personnel Walt Perrin to be its new assistant general manager, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
Perrin has worked in the Jazz organization for the past 19 years and was a key member of its scouting department. Under his guidance, the club has drafted the likes of Donovan Mitchell, Gordon Hayward, Paul Millsap, and Rudy Gobert.
In April, the Knicks retained general manager Scott Perry and hired Cleveland Cavaliers executive Brock Aller as their new capologist.
New York was 21-45 when the 2019-20 season was brought to a halt.
