Report: Warriors comfortable entering 2020-21 with Chriss as starting center

The Golden State Warriors' front office is optimistic about the future of Marquese Chriss and are comfortable entering next season with him as the starting center, sources told the San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau.

The former eighth overall pick played for three different teams over his first three NBA seasons, but seemed to have found his footing with the Warriors this past year.

Chriss averaged 9.3 points on 54.5% shooting to go along with 6.2 boards, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 blocks per contest across 59 appearances, including 21 starts.

Golden State will have one of the top selections in this year's draft after posting a league-worst 15-50 record when the 2019-20 NBA campaign was brought to an indefinite halt.

Memphis' James Wiseman and USC's Onyeka Okongwu are expected to be the first centers to come off the board on draft night.
