DeMarcus Cousins hasn't ruled out signing with an NBA team for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign, his agent, Jeff Schwartz, told Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times.

Schwartz added that his client would only sign if there was a situation in which he felt "comfortable to play" rather than continue rehabbing his injured knee.

This contradicts a report from earlier Tuesday indicating that Cousins would sit out the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign despite drawing interest from multiple teams.

The four-time All-Star signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers last summer but hasn't suited up all season after tearing his left ACL in late July.

Los Angeles waived Cousins in February to open a roster spot for veteran forward Markieff Morris.

Cousins has remained productive despite suffering his share of major injuries in recent years. In 2018-19, Cousins averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 boards across 30 appearances in his return from a torn Achilles.
