Lou Williams tells Perkins to 'shut up' in response to on-air rant
Lou Williams took issue with TV analyst Kendrick Perkins' choice words about him after the NBA issued the Los Angeles Clippers guard an extended 10-day quarantine period.
During Monday's appearance on ESPN's "Get Up," Perkins implored Williams to "do better" and questioned his maturity after the three-time Sixth Man of the Year was caught breaching his excused absence from the league's bubble by attending a gentleman's club in Orlando.
Williams, who will forfeit $150,000 in salary and miss the Clippers' opening pair of seeding games as a result of his quarantine, fired back at the retired NBA center in a tweet Monday afternoon.
15 years in this business and the most dirt you have on my name is stopping to get hot wings during a pandemic. Perk. Shut up. And stop laughing and saying it’s just tv when you run into me too. https://t.co/2xnCpG9I1J

Following Williams' tweet, forward Montrezl Harrell came to his teammate's defense.
Big perk what you not gone do is talk wild to the OG, when you don’t got all facts https://t.co/ykbjHPDHEL

Fellow teammate Patrick Beverley backed Williams as well, telling Perkins to "relax."
Williams, Harrell, and Beverley have each left the bubble for personal reasons since the Clippers arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort nearly three weeks ago.
The Clippers (44-20) are set to face the Los Angeles Lakers (49-14) on July 30 in the first of their eight seeding games.
