Kemba takes blame for Celtics' Game 4 loss: 'I wasn't aggressive enough'
Boston Celtics star Kemba Walker is taking the blame for his club's 100-93 Game 4 loss to the Toronto Raptors.
After managing just 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including a 1-of-6 mark from deep, Walker expressed disappointment over his effort Saturday evening.
"I got to be more aggressive," Walker said postgame, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps. "I wasn't aggressive enough.
"That's unacceptable on my behalf, to be honest. There's no way I can just be taking nine shots. That's unacceptable."
The All-Star guard wasn't the only struggling Celtics player - starting guard Marcus Smart shot 2-of-8 from the field while rising star Jaylen Brown made just four of his 18 field-goal attempts.
Boston's 3-point shooting also hit a snag for the second consecutive contest with the club going 7-of-35 from downtown.
Walker, however, is claiming responsibility for not getting his teammates in the proper mindset.
"It's tough, man," Walker said. "Obviously, we didn't want to come out that way, but it just happened. We've just got to clean it up. We've got to find a way, man. We've got to be better. I have to be better. I have to find a way to get my teammates at a higher intensity, and I will. I'm going to try my best to bring the best out of these guys.
Toronto's victory tied the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.
Game 5 is scheduled for Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
