Veteran wing Nicolas Batum intends to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers after he clears waivers, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
The Charlotte Hornets officially waived the 31-year-old on Sunday.
Charlotte acquired Batum from the Portland Trail Blazers in June 2015. He largely disappointed after signing a five-year, $120-million contract the following summer.
The Frenchman averaged 12.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.9 assists over five seasons with the Hornets. He appeared in only 22 games in 2019-20.
