T-Wolves owner: KG never expressed interest in buying club

Kevin Garnett appears to have thrown in the towel on a potential bid for the Minnesota Timberwolves, though team owner Glen Taylor insists the franchise icon never submitted an offer for his club.
"Kevin never contacted me at all saying that he was interested," Taylor told The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski. "Nor was his name listed on any of the buying groups that asked for financial information to review."
Garnett slammed Taylor on social media Thursday, expressing disappointment on his failed quest to own the club he spent 14 of his 21 NBA seasons with.
Appears that KG has officially come to terms with not being involved in a sale of the Wolves. Short on details here so it is unclear if it was a money issue or if other things got in the way. pic.twitter.com/E4BsDTYSib

Last summer, Garnett said he was part of a group of investors preparing a bid for the T-Wolves.
Taylor is reportedly seeking at least $1.2 billion for the team but is adamant about keeping the franchise in Minnesota.
Garnett and Taylor haven't been on the best of terms after the latter supposedly backed out of an agreement that would've seen the 15-time All-Star take over ownership duties.
The Hall of Famer has previously expressed an interest in bringing the NBA back to Seattle.
