Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid left Monday's 122-114 loss to the Washington Wizards due to right knee soreness, the team announced at halftime.
The big man initially stayed in Game 4 after taking a hard fall in the first quarter but left for good with 36.5 seconds remaining in the frame.
Head coach Doc Rivers said postgame that he expects Embiid to undergo an MRI on Tuesday, according to Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times.
Embiid finished with eight points, six boards, and two assists in 11 minutes of action. He entered Monday's contest averaging 29.3 points on 67.4% shooting - including 54.5% from deep - through three postseason appearances.
Philadelphia can punch its ticket to the second round with a victory Wednesday.
