LaVine enters health and safety protocols, Tokyo departure delayed

Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine won't travel to Tokyo Monday with the U.S. men's national team after entering USA Basketball's health and safety protocols, the federation announced.
Team USA remains hopeful LaVine will rejoin the squad later this week.
The 26-year-old scored 13 points in 21 minutes of play against Spain on Sunday. LaVine's been one of the Americans' top performers in pre-Olympic exhibition play, ranking third on the club in scoring (10.8 points per game).
USA Basketball begins group play in Tokyo against France on July 25.
