Fully vaccinated players will be subject to looser measures as part of the NBA's revised health and safety protocols for the upcoming season.

Those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine won't undergo daily testing and are currently not expected to enter quarantine if they come into close contact with someone who tests positive for the virus, according to a league memo sent to all teams and obtained by ESPN's Brian Windhorst and Tim Bontemps.

Meanwhile, unvaccinated players will be located away from their vaccinated teammates in the locker room and during flights and bus rides. During meals and team meetings, they must remain at least six feet from their vaccinated peers.

Unvaccinated players are also subject to frequent COVID-19 tests and a mandatory seven-day quarantine period if they are in close contact with an individual that contracts the coronavirus.

These new guidelines haven't been finalized and are subject to change based on dialogue with the National Basketball Players Association.

NBA referees and most team personnel are already required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
