The NBA has informed the 10 teams playing on Christmas Day to prepare for potential changes to tipoff time, according to a memo obtained by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The league wants the 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m. ET slots filled if one of the five contests are postponed, adds Wojnarowski. Announcements could come as late as Dec. 24.
Here's the tentative schedule for Dec. 25:
| Matchup | Time (ET) |
|---|---|
| Hawks vs. Knicks | 12 p.m. |
| Celtics vs. Bucks | 2:30 p.m. |
| Warriors vs. Suns | 5 p.m. |
| Nets vs. Lakers | 8 p.m. |
| Mavs vs. Jazz | 10:30 p.m. |
Many of these clubs are experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks.
This season, 117 NBA players have entered the league's health and safety protocols, including 101 new players in December, according to ESPN's Baxter Holmes.
