Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles will be sidelined indefinitely after tearing his ACL, the team announced on Monday.
He's expected to undergo surgery within the next two weeks, and his recovery will extend into the 2022-23 season, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Ingles sustained the injury in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 34-year-old averaged 7.2 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.9 rebounds a night for the fourth-seeded Jazz.
The Jazz have outscored opponents by 8.2 points per 100 possessions with Ingles on the floor, compared to 4.1 when he sits. He's appeared in five of Utah's seven most-used five-man lineups this year.
Ingles' $12.4-million contract expires at the end of the season.
