Dallas Mavericks forward Dorian Finney-Smith has agreed to a four-year, $55.5-million contract extension, his agents told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
His new deal includes a player option and a trade kicker.
Finney-Smith was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The trade of big man Kristaps Porzingis provided the Mavs with the financial flexibility needed to lock up Finney-Smith.
The Florida product went undrafted in 2016 but has carved out a role in Dallas with his 3-and-D skill set.
Finney-Smith is averaging a career-high 10.1 points as well as 4.8 boards, two assists, and 1.2 steals over 54 appearances this season. He's shooting 36.3% from deep and ranks 18th in the Association in defensive win shares (2.4).
