The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Juancho Hernangomez, the team announced Thursday.

The former first-round pick was finalizing a one-year deal with Toronto on Tuesday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Hernangomez split the 2021-22 campaign between the Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, and Utah Jazz. He found some playing time down the stretch for the Jazz, averaging 6.2 points on 50.7% shooting - including a 43.8% mark from deep - over 17 appearances.

Denver selected Hernangomez 15th overall in 2016. He spent parts of four seasons with the Nuggets before being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves midway through the 2019-20 campaign. The Spaniard played his best stretch of basketball that year for the T-Wolves, registering 12.3 points and 7.3 boards per contest while drilling 42% of his triples across 14 games.

Hernangomez's ability to stretch the floor should help a Raptors squad that finished 19th last season in 3-pointers made per game (11.9) and 20th in 3-point percentage (34.9%).

The 26-year-old gained popularity this summer for his role as Bo Cruz in the Netflix film "Hustle," which was produced by LeBron James and Adam Sandler.
