Donovan Mitchell's memorable 71-point performance Monday versus the Chicago Bulls now has a bit of an asterisk.

The NBA's last-two-minute report showed that the Cleveland Cavaliers star committed a lane violation moments before his putback forced overtime.

Cleveland eventually prevailed 145-134 following the extra frame, with Mitchell scoring 13 more points in the additional five minutes of play.

Bulls head coach Billy Donovan was confident the officials' missed call would show up in the report.

"I could be wrong, and if I'm wrong, I'll apologize. But at least what I saw on film, it made it hard for Patrick (Williams) to block (Mitchell) out because he was certainly across the free-throw line before the ball ever hit the rim," Donovan told reporters postgame, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic.

"And if that's the case, it's a violation. And my question, it would be, who's looking at that?"

Referees also missed a traveling violation on Jarrett Allen with 12.1 seconds left in regulation. Instead, the Cavs center capitalized with a crucial basket to cut the Bulls' lead to one point.

The loss dropped Chicago to 11th in the East with a 16-21 record.
