Kyrie: Mavs' playoff hopes look like a 'clusterf--k right now'
Kyrie Irving wasn't feeling great about the Dallas Mavericks' playoff hopes following the club's 116-108 defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
"It kind of looks like a little bit of a clusterf--k right now," Irving told reporters postgame, according to Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.
Dallas fell for the eighth time in 11 games. That stretch includes a pair of losses to the lowly Charlotte Hornets.
Irving is averaging 26.1 points, 5.9 assists, 5.2 boards, and 1.2 steals over 17 appearances for the Mavs. However, the club is 7-10 with the All-Star guard in the lineup and 4-9 when he plays alongside Luka Doncic.
Dallas currently sits one game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the final play-in tournament spot, but Doncic isn't losing hope with five regular-season contests remaining.
"We still have chances, so we shouldn't give up yet," Doncic said.
The Mavs are back in action Saturday against the Miami Heat.
