A woman says former UFC champion Conor McGregor sexually assaulted and battered her after Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami on June 9, according to demand letters obtained by USA Today's Safid Deen.
The letters assert that McGregor "forced" the woman into a bathroom at Kaseya Center with the help of security, aggressively kissed her, forced his penis into her mouth, and attempted to sodomize her. The woman's attorney, Ariel E. Mitchell, sent the letters to McGregor, the Miami Heat, and the NBA.
"Mr. McGregor, aided and abetted by the NBA and Miami Heat Kaseya security, had the victim physically forced via security into the men's bathroom, separating her from her friend and trapping her inside with Mr. McGregor and his security guard," the letters said.
McGregor, 34, then emerged from a bathroom stall and "shoved his tongue in the victim's mouth and aggressively kissed her," according to the letters. The woman then attempted to urinate in a bathroom stall and McGregor forced his penis into her mouth, her attorney wrote.
When the woman tried to leave the bathroom stall, the letters state that McGregor grabbed her, pinned her against the wall, ripped her pants, and tried to sodomize her. The woman escaped after elbowing McGregor repeatedly, the letters said.
The woman immediately contacted law enforcement and her law firm after the alleged incident, Mitchell wrote, according to ESPN's Marc Raimondi.
A video obtained by TMZ Sports on Friday shows McGregor taking the woman by the hand and leading her into a bathroom.
McGregor's attorney, Barbara R. Llanes, denied the allegations in a statement to Deen on Thursday: "The allegations are false. Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated."
The UFC also addressed the situation.
"The organization is aware of the recent allegations regarding Conor McGregor and will continue to gather additional details regarding the incident. UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements," the promotion said Thursday, according to TSN's Aaron Bronsteter.
The Heat and NBA spokesman Mike Bass also released statements saying they're gathering more information about the allegations.
The Miami Police Department said Thursday that it's been investigating the allegations since Sunday, according to TMZ Sports.
