Heat's Herro upgraded to questionable, will reportedly try to play
With their season on the line, the Miami Heat could get a much-needed boost.
Tyler Herro was upgraded to questionable for Monday's do-or-die Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets, the Heat announced hours before tipoff.
Herro is expected to suit up and attempt a return, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The club is hoping that the Kentucky product doesn't suffer a setback and can manage the pain in his hand, Wojnarowski added.
Herro hasn't played since breaking his right hand April 16 in the team's first-round playoff matchup versus the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Heat guard could provide some life to a lackluster offense that's managed just 108.6 points per 100 possessions during the Finals.
Herro averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 boards, and 4.2 assists to go along with an NBA-leading 93.4% clip from the charity stripe over 67 regular-season appearances.
