Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura will miss at least one week after undergoing surgery to repair a nasal fracture, the team announced Friday, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Hachimura sustained the injury in the first quarter of Wednesday's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. He ended up staying in the contest and playing 26 minutes.

Hachimura wasn't with the Lakers as they embarked on a four-game road trip beginning Saturday in Cleveland, adds McMenamin.

Los Angeles is already without big man Jarred Vanderbilt, guard Gabe Vincent, and forward Cam Reddish.

Hachimura appeared to be hitting his stride after missing four games earlier in the campaign due to a concussion. The 25-year-old averaged 13 points and shot 46.2% from deep in his last nine appearances.

Los Angeles inked Hachimura to a three-year, $51-million contract extension this past summer following a solid postseason showing in the club's run to the West finals.

The Lakers acquired the former lottery pick from the Washington Wizards last January.
