Beverley deciding between NBA vet minimum, 'historic' Euro deal

Guard Patrick Beverley is choosing between signing an NBA veteran minimum deal and a "historic" contract in Europe for the 2024-25 season, he announced Sunday through his podcast's X account.

The 36-year-old has 12 years of NBA experience and would earn $3.3 million next campaign if he inked a veteran minimum deal in the Association.

Beverley has played for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks over his career.

He spent his first three seasons as a professional playing in Greece and Russia before appearing in 41 games for the Rockets in 2012-13. Beverley has earned a reputation for being a defensive pest and has recorded three All-Defensive team nods.

The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 6.2 points and 2.9 assists while shooting 33.7% from three and 41.7% from the field in 73 regular-season games split between the Bucks and Sixers last season.

If Beverley stays in the NBA, he'll have to serve a four-game suspension he received for throwing a basketball multiple times at spectators in Milwaukee's Game 6 defeat against the Indiana Pacers. The loss knocked Beverley and the Bucks out of the playoffs.
