Portland Trail Blazers wing Shaedon Sharpe is expected to miss four-to-six weeks after suffering a small posterior labral tear in his left shoulder, the team announced Saturday.

Sharpe missed the majority of his sophomore campaign last season after suffering an abdominal injury. The 21-year-old last played in January of this year.

Prior to the injury, Sharpe was averaging 15.9 points on 40.6% shooting from the field, along with five rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

The Blazers drafted the Kentucky product seventh overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. He did not appear in a game for the Wildcats as a redshirt freshman and declared without playing in college as he was eligible to enter his name into the draft.

Portland opens the 2024-25 season at home against the Golden State Warriors.
