Both players were ejected as a result of the confrontation.
Pistons big man Jalen Duren and Clarkson initially traded shoves, but Holland escalated the situation, which led to referee intervention.
Clarkson had logged three points in the contest and Holland contributed four for the Pistons.
Utah went on to defeat Detroit 126-119, powered by Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, and Keyonte George combining for 85 points. The Jazz will next visit the Pistons on March 3.
