Fox playing through injury to shooting hand
Sacramento Kings star De'Aaron Fox says he's still not at 100% after suffering a dislocated pinkie in the early stages of training camp.
Fox added that X-rays on his injured shooting hand were negative.
"(It's) probably a ligament," Fox told Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee following Saturday's overtime defeat to the Toronto Raptors.
Fox hasn't missed a game this season and doesn't plan on sitting out anytime soon. The All-Star guard has been playing with his pinkie and ring finger taped together.
Fox went 0-for-11 from deep and 8-of-22 from the field overall against Toronto. He's shooting a career-worst 26.8% from deep across six appearances.
However, Fox isn't blaming his early struggles on the injury.
"I can't say (the injury) is the reason," Fox said. "I've had games where I've shot it well, and I've had games where I haven't. I just got to get used to it."
