Report: Warriors' Kuminga expects to return Thursday vs. Kings
Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga plans to return Thursday against the Sacramento Kings, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Kuminga hasn't played since Jan. 4 because of a sprained ankle. The Warriors have gone 19-12 during that span.
"It's a really difficult thing when you are playing really well and have a key guy coming back," Kerr told reporters Saturday, according to ESPN's Charania and Ohm Youngmisuk. "It's always tough. I think the idea is just bring him along slowly, play him in short bursts, help him get his rhythm back.
"But we got to keep playing Gui Santos, keep playing the guys who are helping us win now. Usually this stuff has to kind of play out so we will hope that it plays out."
Kuminga was having a solid campaign before he was sidelined, averaging a career-high 16.8 points, five boards, and 2.2 assists across 32 appearances.
Golden State has risen to sixth in the West since acquiring Jimmy Butler, posting a 12-2 mark with the six-time All-Star in the fold.
