76ers' KJ Martin to miss at least 2 weeks due to foot injury
Philadelphia 76ers forward KJ Martin will miss at least two weeks after an MRI revealed a stress reaction in his left foot, the team announced Tuesday, according to PHLY Sports' Kyle Neubeck.
Martin sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of Monday's 111-106 win against the San Antonio Spurs.
The 23-year-old is in the first season of a two-year, $16-million deal.
Martin has been a valuable reserve for the Sixers this campaign as forward Paul George and former MVP Joel Embiid have only appeared in a total of 25 games combined. Martin is averaging 6.4 points and three rebounds in his 24 contests this season.
Philadelphia improved to 10-17 with its victory over the Spurs. The 76ers sit 12th in the East and will face the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day.
