Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is week-to-week after he suffered a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his shoulder in a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced Monday.

Morant missed eight games at the beginning of the season due to hip and pelvis injuries. He's missed four contests since due to knee and back ailments, including the team's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

Morant has averaged 21.2 points, 7.9 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 27.7 minutes of action across 20 games this season.

The 25-year-old Morant only played nine contests last campaign after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in January. He also served a 25-game suspension for detrimental conduct to the league after displaying a gun on social media for the second time in three months.

The Grizzlies have quite a few players on the injury report, with Santi Aldama, Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, Marcus Smart, and Jake LaRavia set to miss Tuesday's contest against the Phoenix Suns. Vince Williams Jr. has only played three games this campaign, while GG Jackson has yet to make his season debut.

Memphis ranks second in the Western Conference with a 22-11 record.
