Bucks-Pelicans postponed because of extreme weather
Wednesday night's matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans has been postponed due to extreme weather in the New Orleans area, the league announced.
The date for the rescheduled game will be announced later.
The Bucks are struggling to get out of New Orleans, putting their Thursday night home game with the Miami Heat in jeopardy, according to Marc J. Spears of Andscape.
New Orleans was hit with 8 inches of snow Tuesday, nearly tripling the greatest snowfall in the city's recorded history, according to Heather Zons of The Weather Channel.
This is the fourth time this month the league has had to postpone a game. The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers had home contests against the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets, respectively, rescheduled because of wildfires in the L.A. area.
A contest between the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks was also changed because of a winter storm in Atlanta.
Milwaukee is riding a four-game winning streak and sits fourth in the Eastern Conference.
New Orleans, meanwhile, is 12-32 but has won its previous three contests.
