Booker becomes Suns' all-time leading scorer in OT loss to Blazers

Devin Booker became the Phoenix Suns' all-time leading scorer Monday, passing Hall of Famer Walter Davis with 15,668 career points.

Booker accomplished the feat after drilling back-to-back jumpers in the third quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers. He entered the game 22 points behind Davis.

Booker has spent his entire 10-year career in Phoenix after being drafted 13th overall in 2015 out of Kentucky. His 24.4 points per game trail only Kevin Durant and Charlie Scott for the highest scoring average in Suns history. Booker has also averaged 5.1 assists and four rebounds in 641 games.

The 28-year-old holds four of the five highest-scoring games in Phoenix franchise history. His 70-point outing in 2017 is tied for the 13th-highest mark in NBA history.

Booker is also the franchise leader in 3-pointers (1,360), and he sits third in free throws (3,370), fifth in assists (3,285), and seventh in minutes played (21,964).

The four-time All-Star has had another tremendous year with Phoenix, averaging 25.9 points, four rebounds, and 6.7 assists in 43 games entering Monday's contest.

Portland eventually prevailed 121-119 in overtime Monday.
