T-Wolves' Randle returns to lineup in win over Suns
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle returned to the lineup Sunday against the Phoenix Suns.
Randle contributed 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists in 34 minutes of action.
Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards led all scorers with a game-high 44 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and six 3-pointers made.
Randle missed the previous 13 contests with a groin injury. The T-Wolves were reportedly optimistic he'd return at some point during its current four-game road trip.
Randle is in his first season with the T-Wolves after being acquired from the New York Knicks in October as part of the Karl-Anthony Towns blockbuster trade. The Kentucky product is averaging 18.9 points, 7.2 boards, and 4.5 assists across 48 appearances entering Sunday.
Minnesota went 5-8 during Randle's absence. The T-Wolves sit eighth in the West with a 33-29 record, 4.5 games ahead of the 11th-place Suns following Sunday's play.
