Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will miss at least one-to-two weeks with a groin strain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

James will wait for the injury to calm down before receiving another evaluation over the next 24 hours, Charania adds. He was officially ruled out for Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

The four-time Finals MVP would miss a minimum of four contests under the reported timeline, including matchups against the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.

James sustained the ailment midway through the fourth quarter of Saturday's 111-101 defeat to the Boston Celtics and did not return.

The 40-year-old suffered a similar groin injury during his first season with the Lakers but doesn't expect to be out as long. James also didn't hear a "pop" as he did the last time he injured his groin, according to Charania.

James had been playing some of his best basketball as of late, averaging 28.2 points, 10.4 boards, 6.7 assists, and one steal over his last 13 appearances.
