Houston Rockets wing Amen Thompson is expected to miss 10-to-14 days due to a left ankle sprain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania Sunday.

Thomspon suffered the injury midway through the fourth quarter of the Rockets' 146-117 win versus the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday. The former top-five pick landed awkwardly on Pelicans forward Karlo Matkovic's foot after taking a jumper. Thompson left the contest and didn't return. He was one rebound shy of his fifth career triple-double at the time of the injury.

An MRI revealed no structural damage in the ankle, but Thompson will receive rehab treatment to manage the swelling, Charania added.

Thompson, 22, has been stellar in his second campaign with the Rockets, averaging career-bests in points (14.0), rebounds (8.3), assists (3.6), and blocks (1.3) while also shooting 53.3% from the field.

The Rockets are 5-5 over their last 10 contests and sit three games above the Golden State Warriors for fifth in the West. They'll play six games over the next 10 days, none of which come against teams above .500.
