Grizzlies' Clarke will miss rest of season with knee sprain
Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke has been diagnosed with a high-grade PCL sprain in his right knee and is expected to miss the rest of the season, the team announced Saturday.
The Canadian forward picked up the injury Wednesday after falling to the floor in the first quarter of Memphis' 115-99 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Clarke missed the Grizzlies' subsequent 128-108 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
This was Clarke's first full season since sustaining a torn Achilles in 2023 that kept him out for a calendar year. He appeared in 64 games for Memphis this season and was averaging 8.3 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 62.1% from the field.
The Grizzlies are fifth in the West with a 43-23 record after losing four of their past five matches. They'll take on the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.
