Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk is out at least two weeks due to a left calf strain, the team announced Thursday.

Monk will miss the remainder of the regular season as well as the play-in tournament games.

The injury limited Monk to just seven minutes Monday against the Detroit Pistons.

Sacramento recently signed Terence Davis for some additional backcourt depth.

Monk was averaging career highs in both points (17.2 per game) and assists (5.6). The Kentucky product was a Sixth Man of the Year finalist last season.

The Kings inked Monk to a four-year, $78-million contract last summer.
