The NBA fined Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green $50,000 for "making an inappropriate comment that questions the integrity of game officials," the league announced Wednesday.

The incident occurred during Golden State's 102-97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Saturday's Game 3 when Green referenced the 5.5 closing spread, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

The veteran forward fouled out of the contest but was seen making a hand gesture and seemingly discussing the final betting line while the Warriors trailed by six points with just over 15 seconds remaining.

Golden State hit a three and lost by five points to cover the spread.

The fine is Green's first league-mandated punishment since his 12-game suspension in December 2023 for his on-court altercation with Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert.

The T-Wolves hold a 3-1 series lead and have an opportunity to end the Warriors' season on Wednesday night. Game 5 is scheduled for a 9:30 p.m. ET tipoff.
