Haliburton carried off court in Game 7 loss with Achilles injury

Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton didn't return to Sunday's 103-91 Game 7 clash after sustaining a right lower leg injury midway through the first quarter.

Haliburton's father, John, later told ESPN's Lisa Salters that his son sustained an Achilles injury.

Haliburton fell to the floor as he attempted to drive by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and immediately pounded the court in pain.

The two-time All-Star couldn't put any weight on his right foot and needed help off the court.

"I know he gave us everything - and it just hurts that he couldn't see it through with us," Pacers forward Pascal Siakam told reporters postgame, including Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files. "Incredibly proud of him and everything he accomplished."

Haliburton had been playing through a calf injury that worsened in Game 5. He was off to a hot start in Sunday's series finale, knocking down three triples in the first seven minutes.

Haliburton averaged 14.8 points, 6.8 assists, 5.3 boards, and 1.3 steals through the first six games of the Finals.
