Nets re-sign Thomas to reported 1-year, $6M qualifying offer

The Brooklyn Nets re-signed guard Cam Thomas, the team announced Thursday.

The restricted free agent inked a one-year, $6-million qualifying offer to remain with the Nets, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Thomas' decision gives him a full no-trade clause and allows him to hit unrestricted free agency next summer.

The LSU product reportedly declined a two-year, $30-million contract with a team option for the second year as well as a one-year deal worth up to $11 million with incentives but without a no-trade clause, sources told Charania.

Thomas averaged career highs in both points (24 per contest) and assists (3.8) last season to go along with a 34.9% clip from distance. However, he was limited to 25 appearances due to a hamstring strain.

Thomas is just the fifth first-rounder to sign a qualifying offer since 2017. He was among a handful of notable restricted free agents who have yet to sign a contract ahead of the 2025-26 season.
