NBA finalizes Slam Dunk contest participants

The NBA finalized its list of participants for the Slam Dunk contest on Feb. 14.
The competition, which will take place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, features Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes, San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant, Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson, and Orlando Magic guard Jase Richardson.

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren reportedly accepted an invite to compete in the event but later withdrew due to a knee injury, according to ESPN.
A new Slam Dunk champion will be crowned this year after Chicago Bulls guard Mac McClung, the reigning three-time winner, elected to skip the competition.
