Knicks owner James Dolan has banned Woody Allen from MSG VIP
Here's another odd story to add to the growing anthology of them for New York Knicks owner and lead singer of J.D. and the Straight Shot, James Dolan.
According to a report from the New York Post, Dolan has banned Hollywood legend and well-known New York Knicks fan Woody Allen from Madison Square Garden's VIP lounge.
From the report:
Sources say Dolan had the Oscar-winning director banned from Suite 200, the VIP lounge at Madison Square Garden, after Allen refused to do any promotion for MSG Network or the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
Allen had been a regular for years in the suite, where models, pop stars and pro athletes gather before games and at halftime for free drinks and food.
Apparently, Allen had been asked to go on air to talk about his movies, which the MSG channel had purchased the rights to air. When Allen rebuffed, Dolan decided he would no longer be able to rub shoulders with the Spike Lees of the world.
