Clippers sign Maalik Wayns to 10-day contract

As expected, the Los Angeles Clippers have signed point guard Maalik Wayns to a 10-day contract only days after waiving him.

Wayns hasn't appeared in a single game this year due to a torn left meniscus.

Had the Clippers kept Wayns on their roster past Tuesday, his contract would have become fully guaranteed for the season. 

By waiving Wayns and signing him to a 10-day contract instead, the Clippers are able to hold on to the point guard while also having the option to free up a spot on their roster by next week should they attempt to sign a player.
