The NBA announced Thursday that Mexico City and London will host regular-season contests as a part of the Global Games initiative for the 2014-15 season.

The Houston Rockets will play the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Mexico City Arena on Nov. 12, 2014, and the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks will face off at the O2 in London on Jan. 15, 2015.

"While London and Mexico City each have their own unique culture, they both have rich sports traditions and share a great passion for the NBA," said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver in the league's release

"These regular-season games will bring the excitement and incredible competition of our league to more fans in Europe and Latin America."

Between the four clubs participating in the regular-season schedule of the NBA Global Games, there are 18 international players from 17 countries currently on the rosters.

The new add means the Wolves will get another shot at playing in Mexico City. Last year, their contest was postponed when a generator malfunction caused a fire in the Mexico City Arena before the game started. The building filled with smoke and everyone inside was evacuated.
