Report: Kevin Seraphin getting interest from Lakers, Suns, Wizards, and Spurs

You want LaMarcus Aldridge? Well, he's headed to San Antonio to suit up for the Spurs. How about Greg Monroe? Too late, because he's agreed to join the Milwaukee Bucks. DeAndre Jordan? You'll soon find him playing alongside Dirk Nowitzki with the Dallas Mavericks.

The crop of high-end free agents bigs is drying up like the Sahara desert, making second-tier frontcourt options like Kevin Seraphin very popular to those squads who fell short in their respective chases for a star.

The 25-year-old unrestricted free agent is getting interest from the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and possibly the San Antonio Spurs, reports Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.

The Spurs would only be compelled, though, if they can't land David West, who is looking to join a contender for the upcoming season after turning down his player option with the Indiana Pacers.

Every game was a grind for Seraphin to secure minutes in Washington's crowded frontcourt, as Marcin Gortat, Nene, Kris Humphries, and Drew Gooden were all a part of head coach Randy Wittman's rotation.

"I definitely want a chance to be a starter," Seraphin said to CSNWashington's J. Michael back in May. "I definitely want to be somewhere I have a chance to be a starter."

The Lakers could provide him with such a role, as Ed Davis reportedly joining the Portland Trail Blazers and Julius Randle set to return from a major injury. Phoenix lost out on Aldridge, but they could redeem themselves with an under-the-radar signing like Seraphin, even though he's not a household name like the four-time All-Star.

Seraphin averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds with a PER of 12.5 in 79 games last season with the Wizards, with his numbers dropping to 5.5 points and 3.2 rebounds during Washington's playoff run.
