Miami Heat center Chris Bosh says that he sees life differently after surviving a terrifying episode of blood clots in his lungs.
Bosh made an appearance on Bleacher Report Radio on Sunday and spoke about his recovery.
Bosh was hospitalized for just over a week towards the end of February. The injury forced him to miss the remainder of the season. It also came on the heels of former Portland Trail Blazer Jerome Kersey's death, which came as a result of blood clots - the same injury Bosh suffered.
Fortunately, Bosh appears to be recovering well and reportedly resumed on-court activities at the start of July. The 10-time All-Star says he'll be ready to return in time for next season.
A healthy Bosh would round out a formidable starting five for the Heat that would include Goran Dragic, Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, and Hassan Whiteside. Factor in offseason additions in Justise Winslow, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Gerald Green, and the Heat project as one of the most talented rosters in the Eastern Conference.
The 31-year-old Bosh averaged 21.1 points, seven rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in 2014-15 while shooting 46 percent from deep. He's in the second year of a five-year, $118-million contract.
