Kings officially sign Curry, Acy, Dukan
The Sacramento Kings have officially signed guard Seth Curry, forward Quincy Acy, and forward Duje Dukan to contracts, the team announced Wednesday.
Curry's deal is reportedly worth $2 million over two years with a player option for the second season. Acy will work under a similar two-year deal with the player option attached, although what he's set to earn is unknown at this time. The terms of Dukan's agreement are also a mystery, but his deal should contain some guarantees.
Curry, the younger brother of reigning MVP Steph Curry, boosted his value immensely with a strong showing in the Las Vegas Summer League, leading all scorers with 24.3 points on 45.9 percent shooting.
Curry can rest easy with two guaranteed years, his first taste of real job security in the NBA after enduring stints in the D-League and empty 10-day contracts with three other teams.
Acy, 24, will begin his second stretch with the franchise after competing for the Kings for 56 games during the 2013-14 regular season. Sacramento traded the 6-foot-7 big during the summer of 2014 to the New York Knicks, with whom he put up 5.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per game last year.
Dukan played four collegiate seasons for the Wisconsin Badgers, shooting 42.7 percent from the field for an average of 3.1 points in 97 games.
He went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, winding up on the Kings' Summer League roster, where he played five games and averaged 9.2 points and 2.4 rebounds.
