Report: Mike Dunleavy to make season debut Saturday
Jennifer Stewart / USA TODAY Sports
The Chicago Bulls may finally have their starting small forward back for Saturday's matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Mike Dunleavy is set to make his season debut after missing the first 48 games while recovering from back surgery, sources told Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Bulls are already hampered by injuries - with Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic out for extended periods - so Dunleavy's return will help shore up Chicago's depleted frontcourt.
Dunleavy put together a solid season in 2014-15, averaging 9.4 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 40.7 percent from beyond the arc. The career 37.6 percent 3-point shooter will add a spark to a Bulls team that ranks 23rd in made 3-pointers.
