Coveted Arkansas transfer Jimmy Whitt joins SMU
Highly-coveted Arkansas transfer Jimmy Whitt has found a new home, as the freshman has committed to Larry Brown and SMU.
The four-star recruit was a massive signing for Arkansas in the 2015 class, ranking as the 11th-best point guard in the entire country. He experienced an up-and-down freshman season, averaging 6.1 points in 17 minutes of action per game, and decided to transfer out of the program at the end of the season.
While Whitt will have to sit out the 2016-17 campaign due to NCAA transfer regulations, the fact he has three years of eligibility remaining after that makes him a very attractive transfer. With the Huskies top scorer Nic Moore gone to graduation, Whitt provides some insurance that help is on the way for the American Athletic Conference program.
