Blossomgame returning to Clemson for senior year
Clemson fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as star forward Jaron Blossomgame announced Wednesday he has withdrawn from the 2016 NBA Draft and will return to the Tigers for his senior year.
"I appreciate everything Coach (Brad) Brownell and staff have done for me throughout this process, and I feel that the best decision for me at this time is to come back for my senior year at Clemson," Blossomgame said. "We've got a strong team coming back, and I'm excited to open a new Littlejohn Coliseum. This was a very difficult decision, but I'm at peace with it."
Blossomgame led Clemson to a 17-14 record this past season, good enough for seventh in the ACC. He averaged team-highs with 6.7 rebounds and 18.7 points per game, tying him with Virginia's Malcolm Brogdon for the third highest scoring average in the conference. Blossomgame was named the ACC's most improved player and was a member of the All-ACC First Team.
