Maryland looks to have strengthened its roster for next season, as a source told Jeff Goodman of ESPN that the Terrapins have landed Duke graduate transfer Sean Obi.
The 6-foot-9 forward came to the Blue Devils after transferring from Rice following the 2013-14 season. Obi was a beast for the Owls, averaging 11.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, but struggled to find playing time at Duke, seeing just 2.7 minutes of action per contest last season.
As per NCAA regulations, Obi will be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer for the Terrapins, providing some much-needed frontcourt depth.
