5-star SF Brian Bowen enrolls at Louisville, yet to sign financial aid papers
Louisville appears to be on the verge of landing the top remaining player in the 2017 class, as a school spokesperson told Jeff Greer of the Courier-Journal that five-star small forward Brian Bowen has enrolled in summer classes.
Bowen has yet to sign a financial aid agreement with the school, but announced Thursday on Twitter that he will formally commit to the program of his choosing Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals offered Bowen a scholarship three years ago, but were not mentioned as a favorite for his services during the recruiting process. The 6-foot-7 wing took his official visits to Arizona, Creighton, Michigan State, NC State, and Texas, and was also rumored to be joining DePaul after the Blue Demons hired his high school coach.
Bowen would join a star-studded recruiting class for Rick Pitino, as the legendary coach has already signed five-star power forward Malik Williams and four-star players Darius Perry and Jordan Nwora.
