"My decision is I’m going to put my name in the draft this year," Kabengele told 247Sports' Evan Daniels. "Just because of the season I had, the growth, I feel like I did as much as I could at Florida State. I learned a lot. My next challenge is going to be to expand my game."
The Seminoles forward was a valuable contributor off the bench during the 2018-19 season, averaging team highs in points (13.2) and blocks (1.5). Kabengele was named the ACC Sixth Man of the Year while also earning first-team All-ACC Tournament honors.
Florida State posted a 29-8 record this season and made its second consecutive Sweet 16 appearance. The Seminoles finished runner-up to Duke in the ACC Tournament.
